If you seek the road to Victory, keep reading.  (Answers to other existential questions must be sought elsewhere.)

DO NOT TRUST YOUR GPS.   GPS systems seem to mistake woodland trails for roads.  Verify with a map.   The parking area is at a logging road at approximately 2871 Victory Hill Road, Victory, VT. The start finish in the pasture just beyond that area.  It’s pretty simple from Quebec, Montpelier, and Hanover.  Get on route 2 and make 2 left turns and then park.  Below are the details.

From Interstate 91 – Get onto 93 SOUTH towards Littleton, NH.  Take EXIT 1, onto VT-18.  Turn left.  In half mile, turn right onto ROUTE 2.  In 8.5 miles, turn left onto VICTORY ROAD.  (Hint: This about 3 miles after the town of Concord and before Miles Pond.)  In about 3.5 miles turn left onto VICTORY HILL road (Hint: you will see an old school house and bank of mailboxes on the left, just before the turn.)  Travel 1.4 miles on Victory Hill Road (Hint: you will cross an intersection with Masten Road on the left and see Umpire Road on the right).  Parking area is on the LEFT, across from a white house at approximately “2871 Victory Hill Road.” http://mapq.st/1vQNcLN

From Burlington or Montpelier – Take route 2 from Montpelier towards St. Johnsbury.  You can either continue on route 2 through St. J, to Victory, or take the bypass by getting on Route 91 South just before reaching St. J., which is the route that we recommend.  Follow directions above from route 91.  You will be on route 91 for about 2 miles.

From East Burke (If you know the back roads and have a good map and car capable of class IV roads – http://mapq.st/3-A387Qzlu(Hint: The class IV road over the mountain into Victory is about 1 mile after Kirby town hall on the left and is not marked.  If you see a pond through the trees on the right, you have gone too far.)  This is the shortest and fastest route, 20-25 minutes.

From East Burke – If you are not in the mood to get lost and want to see the incredibly beautiful Victory Bog, about 30-35 minutes:  http://www.mapquest.com/embed?hk=1-lQ6MbUHm

From Lyndonville – Take route 91 (see directions above), or if you are familiar with the back roads and have a car that can handle rugged dirt roads, you can take your chances to go over the mountain road. http://www.mapquest.com/embed?hk=3-9B5GcMtX (Hint:  The class IV road over the mountain into Victory is about 1 mile after Kirby town hall on the left and is not marked.  If you see a pond through the trees on the right, you have gone too far.)
